Perform CPR (CPR) - HLTCPR201B - (2 ½ hours)
The CPR course provides participants the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. Due to the new health package in March 2008, perform CPR now replaces the course previously known as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
Upon successful completion of the course students will be issued with a CPR certificate. This module is current for 12 months and must be renewed annually.
Perform CPR/CPR Reaccreditation HLTCPR201A
This course of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide CPR life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This course was previously known as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/CPR.
Pre-/Co-requisites
There are no pre-requisites or co-requisites for this competency unit. Students under 14 years must provide written permission to attend the course from their parent or guardian.

Award
On successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a statement of attainment, which is valid for 1 year. As per the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines the HLTCPR201B Perform CPR unit needs to be updated every 12 months.
Assessment
Queensland First Aid offers a hands on approach with progressive assessments throughout the course including a multiple choice questionnaire. This is competency based training so our aim is provide you with a sound knowledge of CPR.
