Provide First Aid – HLTAID003
At the completion of this course you will understand the basic ethics and theory of First Aid. You will acquire the skills to manage injuries, burns, dehydration and heat stroke, envenomation, substance abuse, stress management techniques, excessive intake of poisoning and toxic substances, medical conditions such as epilepsy, diabetes, cardiac conditions, allergic reactions, stroke, choking, chest pain, fractures, respiratory diseases, seizures, shock, loss of consciousness and causality with no signs of life.
Your Provide First Aid certificate is valid for 3 years. The CPR component is valid for 12 months. The Provide First Aid course is the minimum requirement for workplace first aid compliance. Find out more about the Provide First Aid course.
Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – HLTAID001
After completion of this course you will have the practical skills and theoretical knowledge to deal with breathing and cardiac emergencies. Through hands on training you will learn how to provide CPR life support and manage a casualty or incidence until medical professionals arrive. Find out more about the Provide CPR course.
Education and Care First Aid
This course will give you the knowledge and skills to provide first aid to an infant, child or adult. All three mannequin types will be provided. Additional training topics include child physiology, legal responsibilities of a first aider, incident reporting in a childcare setting, first aid for burns, bleeding and fractures and many more.
Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace
In this course you will learn the symptoms and triggers of an asthma attack, the different classes of asthma medication, the devices used to administer asthma medication and to recognise, treat and manage severe allergic reactions. Information will be provided on regulations and definitions of allergies and anaphylaxis, common allergy triggers and symptoms. Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel
This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to manage a casualty involved in a Perform rescue from a live Low Voltage panel. You will be trained in providing CPR, responding to, and managing the signs of an unconscious casualty and communicating effectively with emergency services. Parking in the Brisbane CBD can be expensive and difficult to find. We suggest to take public transport when possible. We are around the corner from the western side of the Queen Street Mall, a 10 minute walk from the Central Train Station. Our building is on the corner of George Street and Burnett Lane. Once you enter, use the elevator to get to our Training Centre on Level 1.
