When it comes to First Aid Training and Supplies in Australia, Australia Wide First Aid offers a holistic solution. Our emergency first aid training is available in 17 different locations throughout Australia or alternatively we can bring our CPR and first aid training courses onsite to your club, organisation or business. The operating hours of each training location vary. All Central Business District (CBD) locations operate seven days a week and offer all first aid training courses, including senior-level courses and CPR first aid courses. Accredited Courses and Certificates

QFA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO National Provider number 31961). Training with an RTO ensures that you receive a nationally accredited and recognised first aid certificate. Our first aid course is in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.

All of our courses take only one day to complete, with no homework necessary before or after your training. This means you receive your first aid certificate on the same day as your course.

There are no prerequisites for our CPR training certification or Provide First Aid courses. However, we do ask that any attendee aged 14 and under provide written permission from their guardian.

Provide First Aid

Australia Wide First Aid’s Provide First Aid course is the minimum requirement for workplace first aid compliance. This course provides you with the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other First Aiders until emergency qualified help arrives at the scene of the accident.

This course incorporates the content of units:

  • HLTAID001 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • HLTAID002 – Provide basic emergency life support
  • HLTAID003 – Provide first aid

Course Duration:
8 hours pre-course online reading and successful completion of multiple choice online assessment
8.5 hours face to face classroom based, inclusive of a 30min break

Provide CPR

The Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course will provide students will skills and knowledge in providing CPR, managing and accessing an emergency situation, DRSABCD, use of automatic external defibrillator and first aiders legal responsibilities. All training provided is in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.

Course Duration:
Up to 3 hours pre-reading and online assessment. 3 hours face to face training.

Entry Requirements:

  • Student must complete pre-reading and online assessment by 11.59pm AEST the night before the course to be permitted entry to the face to face training.
  • Students must have the physical ability to provide resuscitation by kneeling on the floor and performing two (2) minutes of uninterrupted CPR
  • Students must be minimum of fourteen (14) years of age
  • Students under the age of 18 will be required to provide signed parental consent form prior to attending the course

Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting

Provide an emergency response in education and care setting meets the requirement of the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and also satisfies all requirements for first aid, anaphylaxis management, and emergency asthma training under the Education and Care Service National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).

  • Regulations and definitions of asthma and anaphylaxis
  • CPR techniques on infants, children and adults
  • DRSABCD, including the trained use of a defibrillator
  • Incident reporting in a child care setting
  • Child Physiology
  • How to properly assess an emergency situation
  • First Aid procedures for bleeding, burns and fractures
  • Managing medical conditions such as epilepsy
  • Infection control procedures
  • Legal responsibilities of a First Aider
  • Managing shock

The course includes:

  • HLTAID001 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • HLTAID002 – Provide basic emergency life support

  • HLTAID004 – Provide an emergency response in an education and care setting

Course Duration:
9 hours face to face training inclusive of 30 min break and up to 8 hours pre-course reading and online assessment.

Asthma & Anaphylaxis

The combined courses are trained in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines and meets the requirement of the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). In addition, the course satisfies the requirements for first aid, anaphylaxis management and emergency asthma training under the Education and Care Service National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulation 2011.

The course includes: 22282VIC Course in the Management of Asthma Risk & Emergencies in the Workplace & 22300VIC Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis.

Course Duration:
4 hours face to face training with up to 4 hours pre-course reading and online assessment

22282VIC Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace

This course covers the knowledge and skills to recognise the clinical signs of asthma and how you can identify and respond to an asthma emergency. Australia Wide First Aid have been certified by the National Asthma Council of Australia as an authorised provider of Emergency Management of Asthma in the Workplace.

In an Australia Wide First Aid Asthma Management course, you will learn:

  • The symptoms and triggers of an Asthma Attack
  • The different classes of Asthma Medication
  • The devices used to administer Asthma Medication
  • How to deliver First Aid Asthma

22300VIC Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis

The anaphylaxis section of the course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to recognise, treat and manage a severe life threatening allergic reaction (anaphylaxis).

Specifically, the course will cover:

  • Regulations and definitions of allergies and anaphylaxis
  • Common Allergy Triggers
  • Signs and Symptoms
  • Risk minimisation
  • The importance and administration of Adrenaline Autoinjectors
  • Anaphylaxis first aid

CPR & LVR

The Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course is trained within 3 hours and will provide students will skills and knowledge in providing CPR, managing and accessing an emergency situation, DRSABCD, use of automatic external defibrillator and first aiders legal responsibilities. All training provided is in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.

The LVR component is trained within 2 hours and provides electricians with skills and knowledge on how to conduct risk assessments of an electrically hazardous situation and perform low voltage rescue procedures without hazard to themselves and others. You can feel confident that in an emergency situation you and your employees will have the life saving skills to manage the situation until emergency services arrive.

Course Duration:
5 hours face to face training with up to 3 hours pre-reading and online assessment for CPR component of the course. A 30min break will be provided to students before the commencement of UETTDRRF06B Perform rescue from live LV panel.

Pre-Requisite Requirement:
HLTAID001 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation is a pre-requisite for UETTDRRF06B Provide rescue from a live LV panel. Student attending CPR and LVR must be marked as competent in HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation before proceeding with UETTDRRF06B perform rescue from live LV panel.

Students who would like to attend only UETTDRRF06B perform rescue from a live LV panel will be required to provide a current copy of Statement of Attainment for HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
