Overview of Gold Coast Training Courses
Provide First Aid – HLTAID003
The Provide First Aid course is the minimum requirement for workplace first aid compliance. This course will provide you with the skills to manage injuries, burns, environmental impacts, envenomation, substance abuse, stress management techniques, medical conditions such as epilepsy, diabetes, cardiac conditions, allergic reactions, stroke, choking, chest pain, fractures, near drowning, respiratory diseases, seizures, shock, loss of consciousness, causality with no signs of life, excessive intake of poisoning and toxic substances. Your Provide First Aid certificate is valid for 3 years. The CPR component is valid for 12 months.
Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – HLTAID001
- After completion of this course you will be proficient in:
- providing CPR life support
- managing a casualty
- managing an incidence and other first aiders until medical professionals arrive
- Training is hands on and includes demonstrations and multiple choice questionnaires.
Education and Care First Aid
This course will give you the skills and knowledge to provide first aid to an infant, child or adult. All three Mannequin types are provided during the CPR session.
Since January 2013, all schools and childcare providers have been required to have a staff member trained in asthma management and anaphylaxis awareness and be available at all times. In this course you will learn the symptoms and triggers of an asthma attack, the different classes of asthma medication, the devices used to administer asthma medication and how to deliver first aid asthma.
In this course you will learn to recognise, treat and manage a severe allergic reaction. The course will provide information on regulations and definitions of allergies and anaphylaxis, common allergy triggers, signs and symptoms, risk minimisation, the importance of adrenaline auto injectors and anaphylaxis first aid. You will have the opportunity to practice using equipment such as asthma puffers, spacers, and adrenaline auto-injectors.
You will gain the skills and knowledge to manage a casualty due to accidental low voltage electrocution. You will be trained in providing CPR, responding to, and managing the signs of an unconscious casualty and communicating effectively with emergency services.

A: Yes. We can arrange to conduct the course at your workplace. This approach allows the training to be tailored to your work environment and specific anticipated risks or hazards. You may also be eligible for group discounts.
Q: How do I need to prepare for the course? Is there any online pre-study required?
A: You are required to read through Australia Wide First Aid’s e-manual which you receive on completion of your booking for the face-to-face first aid training course. This will assist you in your first aid assessments which you will undertake during your first aid course.
Q: When do I receive my certificate?
A: If you have payed for your first aid course prior to commencement, you will receive your certificate via email in a pdf format within 48 hours of successful completion of your course.
Q: How long is my certification valid?
A: Your Provide First Aid certificate is valid for three years. The CPR component is valid for 12 months and will need updating yearly in order to keep the certification up to date.
